"My Turkish Bath". I chose this place for my birthday present and it is perfect for me. I have to say that I love this place so much. I have made a right choice and I will come again and choose this place with a blink of an eye. It is really nearby to the every where that I want to go. I would recommend this place to all my friends and Yes! I did use the hamam. Thank you so much to the owner Metehan.

I'd like to thank Metehan and his team for the wonderful job they're doing. Due to them, this time I was feeling like a real citizen of this wonderful city. The "Lights of Istanbul" apartment where I stayed in was perfect, views from the window - very nice, location - excellent. If you're an open-minded traveller, you'll definitely understand why it's much better to stay in an apartment than in a hotel.

Galata View exceeded our expectations! It is a large, light, imaginatively furnished, well located apartment with stupendous views. Well worth the climb up the stairs to the fourth floor. The neighborhood has everything one could wish for – a small supermarket, a butcher, vegetable stands. The plaza around the Galata Tower has benches and cafes. Pedestrian zone Istiklal Caddesi and its side streets are filled with restaurants and shops. Transportation is close at hand – the funicular (Tunel) eliminates the need to walk up the hill from the Galata Bridge. Metehan is reliable and efficient. Transportation arrangements from and to the airport were perfect. Our 10 day stay in Istanbul was not nearly long enough to experience all this fascinating city has to offer. We hope to return and if we do, we will surely contact Metehan for our accommodation arrangements.

Dear Metehan!
It was the first time for us in Istanbul. The apartment is just great. We spent every night at the terrace to enjoy this fantastic view of the Galata tower, the Bosporus, the Topkapi Palace, the Mosques.....
Your service was excellent (mail contact, pick up at the airport....),
hope to see you again some time,

I have spend 9 days in May 2009 in Silent balcony.Delightful and tasteful decoration, functional and good situated flat.
(looked attractive on the advertising pictures on internet ...even better in the reality).
Enjoying every single minute of my stay there.perfect maintenance of the estate.TOP service from the beginning to the end(previous informations, booking process, welcome and practical attention)
Conclusion:this flat is having "ce petit je ne sais quoi"....we would say in France (which means:an indescribable or indefinable charme, good vibrations and on top of this:
a gentleman as its owner!!!!
Thank you ,Metehan!Hope to come back soon.

Dear Metehan
Arrived home safely to a lower temperature and rain
But we really enjoyed our stay in Silent Balcony
To your guests. We have stayed in many of the apartments and they are all well furnished clean and very comfortable
Everything is convenient and in good working order. Some have the advantage of a great view while others have the advantage of not too many steps to climb. Staying in Istanbul Sweet Home apartments you become part of the comunity, shopping in the local shops, buying fresh bread from the local baker, its a great feeling. Metehan is a most friendly and kind person who will help you settle in to the apartment
Regards

We have been to Istanbul many times but this latest was the best beacuse we lived in
the very nice and clean Angels and Demons Apartement, near to Istiklal, near to Tünel, near to the old tram. Never more a hotelroom if we stay longer than a weekend. Metehan and Tarkan was very kind and took good cear of us. We will come back agin next year.

We have very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment with the convenience of home.. It really did feel like we were living like an Istanbulian during our visit.. the location was amazing just a 5 min walk from Glata Tower, Istaklal Street where the shopping area, and many cafes, restaurants, bars, night life activities awaits ( Taksim area)
safe neighborhood and a nice nearby small supermarket for all your essentials..
I recommend this place for anyone who is looking to taste a bet of how people live in Istanbul with all its sights and sounds right at your foot step when you walk out the door.. if your staying a week then its even cheaper than staying in a hotel for sure. We had a very good amazing rate.. great value for the price we paid.

We had 8 nghts in his lovely top floor apartment.December, but the sun poured in and we wished we could have spared an afternoon to sit out on the terrace. But Istanbul does not lend itself to sitting around. We had a view of the Galata tower so that was our night time treat.
Again,Metehan and Taran were the greatest hosts-our turn next time.
Thoroughly recomend the apartment and the area-heaps of supermarkets-yes we did cook in some nights despite the lovely cafes and eating houses about us.Heaps of supermarkets and other yummy shops. Not to mention this is the heart of antique shops-a treasure trove-a pain we had to travel on and not home with what we-I could have bought.Easy if sometimes challenging walking but that has to be the nature of Istanbul and so much of its charm lies in walking.
Another time is planned-we are sorry that we live so far away and cannot visit more often.Trust this site and your hosts-you will have no regrets |

1) Well situated: near to new Metro station, Tunel station, Galata tower and
Tophane trum station.
2) Well furnished: kitchen (pans, dishes, knives ...), fridge, a double-bed and a sofa-bed, wireless facilities, drawers, telephone, TV... I found nothing lacking.
3) Very effectively arranged.
4) Honest relyable punctual cleaning staffs and taxi drivers.
5) This is my third visit to Istanbul. I will stay here next time.
