You’re new here and need a room pronto. With no clue as to how to even pronounce Nişantaşi or Cihangir, you’re being dragged to all sorts of wrong flats by a well-meaning but equally clueless estate agent.
Stop now! Quickly find a computer and type this: IstanbulSweetHome.
Four Istanbolites who were fed-up with rude and wicked landlords decided to take the matter into their hands and created ISH some time ago.
Having restored beautiful flats in fantastic locations like Taksim, Galata and environs which they rent out for long or short stays, they take personal care of their properties and treat you like a guest (not some foreigner=money making machine).
Each flat has a peculiar characteristic (one even boasts a private Turkish hamam), and is located in gorgeous buildings done in Bauhaus or Art Nouveau style in line with that 1880’s Beyoglu-Cihangir look. We really liked Istanbul Eye, set on two levels with stunning views of Golden Horn, offered on a last-minute deal ending March 14th.
See IstanbulSweetHome online or email to info@istanbulsweethome.com for a full list of flats.

Göçebe Şarkılar (The Nomadic Songs) take their listeners on a trip into the sounds of the people who spend their lives migrating from landscape to landscape, not always by choice. Their songs reflect the lives, loves, joys and sorrows of those cultures.
Göçebe Şarkılar draw on a repertoire of songs from Romania, Hungary, old Yugoslavian gipsy lands, Macedonia, Albania , Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Andalucía, Mexico, Italy, Anatolia, Armenia and Thrace as well as from Sephardic culture. They interpret these pieces in their authentic languages with the accompaniment of guitar, violins, accordion, and percussion; thriving to present the listener with a dynamic and different aural experience at each concert.
Let’s embark together on this journey of song, dance, happiness and melancholy…
GÖÇEBE ŞARKILAR:
Ahmet Tirgil - violin
Ayça Damgacı - vocal
Hakan Milli - vocal İnci Sunar - guitar
