Cooking Alaturka: Half-day Turkish Cooking Classes and Restaurant
Learn How to Cook Authentic Turkish Foods in Between Visiting Istanbul’s Many Sights
Our classes are generally held from 10:30 to 14:30 on any given day that we have enough participants. We prepare 5 typical Turkish dishes in a group of 6-10 persons and then have them for lunch in our restaurant. We have aprons at your disposal and you will get the recipes to take with you.
Private classes are held as well.
For private groups, evening classes can be considered as well, starting at 16:30, with dinner served from 19:00 to 21:00

What a wonderful idea! I think that one of the wonderful things about Turkey is its fresh, delicious, healthy food, so it’s great to hear that people are getting the chance to learn more about it.
I took a half day cooking lesson at Cooking Alaturka last week. We cooked five different dishes - four savoury and one sweet baklava-esque dessert. It was a really great experience, I would highly recommend it. Everyone was involved with every element of the cooking, there were printouts of the detailed recipes and guidelines for you to take home and recreate them, and the food we made was delicious (!), which made for a lovely lunch. Really relaxing, fun way to experience some of turkey’s culinary culture.
We are wondering if you could provide a cooking class that can start at 7pm, one day this week or next week. We are attending meetings in Istanbul and it ends 6pm daily.l Currently there are 4 ladies interested but may have more. I would like to know if this is possible?
Thanks,
Midgie
